ECOLOGICAL CLERK OF WORKS

An ecological clerk of works, undertaking construction site supervision, is crucial to the minimisation of ecological impacts and the success of habitat reinstatement and creation in many development projects. Close liaison and good communications with contractors is vital. We have supervised:

measures to protect sensitive habitat and species, water quality monitoring and habitat reinstatement during construction of Drumderg Windfarm, Angus
transplantation, storage and replacement of woodland topsoil, turf and trees during the A96 upgrade near Kintore
burn diversion at Stoneyhill Landfill site Aberdeenshire
measures to protect and reinstate salt marsh during borehole investigations for the proposed second Kincardine Bridge on the River Forth
measures to protect bat habitat and aquatic flora and fauna during work on the Forth and Clyde Canal Millennium Link project
habitat protection and reinstatement works during the A92 Dundee to Arbroath upgrade
